Due to the high altitude of our airport, we make for an ideal location for high altitude and mountain flight training. The Colorado Army National Guard High-Altitude Aviation Training Site (HAATS), based out of nearby Eagle, Colorado, is a frequent user of the airport. They train multiple branches of military for safely conducting high altitude operations, with an emphasis on power management.
