The Leadville Airport is North America’s highest public use airport at an altitude of 9,934 feet. Located in central Colorado, 2 miles southwest of the city of Leadville, the airport provides a unique role to the area and communities of Lake and Summit Counties, linking them to the National Air Transportation System. Due to the high elevation of the airport, it has become recognized for high altitude testing and training for the military and aerospace companies worldwide.
Our Fixed Base Operations is open seven days a week. The newly built, modern facility is one of the nicest airport offices in the region. Stop in to enjoy a cup of coffee on us!
Hangar and Ramp space
We offer heated hangar space for rent at our airport. Our new 100x110 hangar can accommodate most any aircraft storage need. The modern, easily accessible space makes parking you plane in Leadville easy and the cold temperatures of winter a non-issue. If you prefer to park on our ramp our tie down fees for small aircraft are some of the most economically efficient in the area.
